Artelier Vikart is proud to be an active contributor in the launch of the Marie Claire International Photography Award.
Artelier Vikart is a professional photography laboratory that offers digital and argentic high quality prints specially made for collectors, galleries, festivals, museums, interior designers... and anyone who truly love photography and is looking for a personalised decor!
We are artisans and started off working with film, which requires know-how, rigor and a definite taste for perfection. We continue to offer silver gelatin prints from negatives film under an enlarger in the traditional way, in either black-and-white or colour.
For our digital prints, we work with the best technology available today: pigment ink jet printing. We can print images as big as 160cm on their smallest side. Our laboratory has received Epson's Digigraphie® label, a guarantee of excellence that requires conformity to very strict criteria to ensure an exceptional quality and preservation of the produced prints. Receiving this label has manifested an acknowledgement of our know-how, and the reliability and quality of our services.
We offer a selection of 11 fine Art printing papers (for digital prints) and 8 photosensitive papers, from a wide variety of brands. These papers have been selected by our printers, after the strictest tests, for their intrinsic quality as well as their compatibility with the tracers we use.
But what matters most to us is customer relations. To give you full satisfaction with your prints, we look at the files together, work on them using your direction and with our know-how, and we start the printing process only after a test-strip has been made and validated by you. All these services are included in our prices.
Lastly, we can offer many finishing options to enhance your prints (mounting on aluminium or Dibond, with or without chassis, all types of framing, American box frame with or without glass, matte or glossy Diasec).
Epson is happy to participate in the Marie Claire International Photography Award.
As a major player in the field of photographic printing, it is quite natural for Epson to give their support to the photography award created by such a prestigious magazine as Marie Claire.
The finalists' photos will be produced using the Epson Digigraphie® trademark. Bridging the gap between tradition and modernity, this trademark technique allows artists to produce limited editions of their original works in extremely high quality, so durable that they are able to withstand several generations. Digigraphie® is based on a professional Epson printing technique that uses UltraChromeTM inks, make of pigments and minerals coated in resin. These inks offer perfect stability to light and a time resistance of over a century. Digigraphie® creates an original field in photographic expression by creating a new artistic language. This technology is the offspring of two seemingly incompatible talents: that of the artist and that of the engineer. One is striving to capture what the eye sees in an instant while the other needs to dominate technology in order to give body to this vision.
Epson is one of the world leaders in imagery and innovation, creating compact technologies, energy saving and high precision equipment that have consistently been exceeding client's expectations and vision all over the world. Epson's large catalogue of products offers printers and 3LCD projectors for the office and home, as well as electronic and liquid crystal components. Lead by the mother-company Seiko Epson Corporation, based in Japan, the Epson group employs about 75 000 people in its worldwide network of 100 entities, and boasts a constant commitment in environmental protection, as well as a positive contribution to local life on its implantation sites.

Many of its major innovations would change the history of photography: the first lenses called Nikkor in 1932, the release of the first reflex in 1959, the legendary Nikon F and the first ever digital compact camera in 1997. Today, after 100 years of existence, Nikon is more than ever a mythical brand that relies on its historic know-how in terms of optics, whilst constantly offering innovations, which expresses the unchallenged dynamism of the brand.
